History

Since the early 1980’s we have been serving our clients with creative approaches to reaching their audience with the right message. Our early clients included small, private colleges and non-profit organizations, as well as a number of manufacturers.

One of our first clients was a small college that had a state-of-the-art, automated, two-projector slide system and a 20 minute presentation that told prospective students everything they never wanted to know about the school. In short, it was boring! We helped the client understand that they were misusing the amazing communication tool that they had. Rather than try to tell a high school student everything about the college, we explained how images, music and testimonials could elicit an emotional response and stimulate questions. Rather than provide all the answers, we created a presentation which gave the prospective students a taste of what college life on this campus would be like, and made them want to know more. Other tools (ie. brochures, admissions counselors, etc.) were available to answer questions and provide facts, so the AV presentations could concentrate on what it did best, stimulate interest!

With the advent of the Apple Macintosh computer and “desktop publishing” in the mid 1980’s, we expanded into print design, producing college admissions materials as well as brochures and catalogs for manufactures. Also, audio-visual production, using slides and projectors began to give way to video, as we continued to work with schools and non-profits.

In the 1990’s, with the coming of digital video editing, we continued serving a few clients, on the side, while contracting most of our time to a larger agency, to do digital editing of TV commercials for General Motors automotive dealer groups all over the United States. In the late 1990’s General Motors began to pull much of their group advertising into their national agencies and we began to work again with small colleges and non-profits. Besides print and video, the growing use of the internet opened up opportunities for adding web development to the list of services we provide.

Over the last ten years, we have served a diverse group of clients with print, video, web development and photography. Our clients run the gamut from schools, small non-profit corporations, national ministries, bed & breakfasts to manufacturers with national distribution.

As we have sought to stay abreast of the latest technological developments, we have never lost sight of the fact that communicating the right message is equally important as communicating it well. An outstanding brochure is no good if it is never read. An incredible website doesn’t help if your demographic does not use computers. So we work closely with out clients getting to know them well, along with their product or service. We also work to know and understand who the audience or customer is, how they see and understand things. Finally we apply our expertise to bring the all of this together in a way that communicates, educates and motivates.
